  4. Just yesterday, Linus Torvalds was here at MIT giving a talk.  He had
  5. made mention of DOSEMU, Wine, and the iBCS2 compatibility on Linux, but
  6. he did not mention Executor, which I think is close to the level of
  7. DOSEMU in stability.  Executor could be a big winner with Linus if it
  8. can run PowerPoint since he did his slides in PowerPoint for Windows
  9. and was complaining having to switch and such and how Wine isn't quite
  10. up to it.  Don't know if he gives a lot of talks (don't think he does)
  11. but he could be good publicity.

  13. On a second note, just as a wish, since I am on the internet and I have
  14. AFS, I can access the AFS archive of Mac programs at mac.archive.umich.edu.
  15. They also have a unpacked "natural" version of the archive which can
  16. be "mounted" as an AppleShare volume.  It'd be nice if I could be able
  17. to run all of thier shareware/freeware programs directly off there just
  18. to test them out.  I don't think that a large portion of your market
  19. quite has the accessibility that we enjoy here so it probably isn't
  20. something you are working on, but separate from the networking, is the
  21. AppleShare "filesystem" format supported? (all these .AppleDouble
  22. directories, seems like if it could look for .AppleDouble/filename
  23. rather than %filename then everything would work fine for me...).
