  3. What follows is the result of  testing several CDs and lots of share games
  4. and applications from the Macworld CD Nb 3, Spanish version and other ones.

  6. Eric Solitaire (From the Executor disks)

  8. Have you tried to resize the play window?
  9. It crashes.

  13. I have finished both the demo and commercial version, and
  14. disabling sound and music works perfect.

  18. Its a "Living Book" CD from Bronderbund. I goes to DOS with:

  35. Pirates, by Microprose
  36. ----------------------
  37. A very old but addictive B&W game. The startup screens are displayed ok,
  38. you choose your name, your skills and historical period to play, but
  39. when you are going to fight (The 1st thing you can do in the game) it hags
  40. No ALT-MAYS-1 or ALT-MAYS-5. The mouse still moves, but i can only 
  41. press CTRL-BRK to go to DOS.

  44. MACTOOLS 7.0
  45. ------------
  46. As well as other bugs, it only display the files on the actual folder,
  47. it does not recognize any folder.

  49. When i ask Mactools to verify the hard disk it says:

  53. It says the same when doing with a MAC disk

  55. I can edit and modify any file without any trouble though!

  113.     Appart of the logical error when accessing to the modem,
  114.     it works perfectly, BUT when you are playing a little
  115.     with it, it runs out of memory, just like Cricket Graph.

  118.     It goes to DOS without saying anything!

  124. *Data convertn", and goes back to bra program to convert non mac database files to
  125.     a Mac readable database format!

  127.     It says: Error, 1001 ocurred. and goes back to browser
  128. *Easy convert 3.1
  129.     When runned it goes back to the browser without saying anything!
  130.     (you now you have clicked it cos the hot band disappeared a while)
  131. *Graphic converter 1.77
  132.     It says :" A Macintosh II, LC, Clasic or Quadra is needed" and 
  133.     goes back to browser.

  137. *BBEdit 3.1 demo
  138.     Seems to work without troubles, fast from CD!

  140. *DOC Maker 4.1
  141.     It has problems with the NEW button.

  144.     A strange text "reader", works without problems!

  146. *Easy view 2.44e
  147.     It says (in spanish) "your computer lacks the required hardware
  148.     or software to run this application", and goes back to browser

  156.     It hanged everything (Just power down). It seemed to be an astrological
  157. program. The icon of the executable was like Hypercard (I think).

  160.     It asks you for the M value, (I answered 3) and then it enters on
  161. an infinite look saying

  163. Please enter the m value: A lot of nonsenses (square nonsenses)

  166. *MAC repairs 2.1a
  167.     A executable hypertext doc, that shows how you can upgrade and repair
  168. the most common problems of mac. It has some problems (Draws out of their
  169. windows) etc, but its operative.

  171. *Math Stars 3.0
  172.     It covers with nonsense the upper bar (File and so on), and then
  173. claims for errors on accesing their files (ERROR Nb -41)
  174.  
  175. Graphics

  213.     In the docs dont say anything about system 7 or coprocesor.
  214. *GNU Chess Mac v4.04b
  215.     It works fine, but takes too much time loading, it makes
  216.     lots of disks access!

  249.     A colorful amazing like tetris game!!! It is incredible adictive...

  253.     some times you get the upper bar (File, Tiles,...) corrupted,
  254.     and if you press it hangs...

  256.     If someone can play (I could, and i like it) the keys are a,s,l.

  264.     In 320x200 you can play very well (i feel strange, not slow,not fast)
  265.     In other resolutions it goes tooooo slow

  272.     Its a program that check what is connected to the Apple Desktop
  273.     bus. It works, but does not recognize anything!

  296.     It has trouble opening the samples.
  297.     I dont know how to use it, but seems to work fine 
  298. MAC Populous
  299.     I have not played a full game, but works without troubles 
  300.     (Well, at least during 5 minutes doing everything imaginable)
  301. SimLife
  302.     Has drawing problems. I cant see the buttons and text in lots
  303.     of windows, and it is not a refresh problem
  304. Startwars v1.0
  305.     It hangs everything, only CTRL-BRK at the startup screen!
  306. Aldus Superpaint 3.0
  307.     After the startup screen it hangs!
