- I think SVGALib does significantly higher resolutions these days,
- with some chipsets. I have yet to see it use my S3 card properly
- though. The version I have at present seems to crash frighteningly
- easily, although it *is* quite old.

- I mentioned to someone at ARDI that a generic /dev/audio interface
- would make porting sound to other Unix architectures pretty simple.
- ARDI don't want to start getting into individual OS sound capabilities
- without imposing huge amounts of new work on themselves.
