- I assume this is the DOS demo version? I have a similarly specified
- machine (486DX-33, IDE and SCSI, 20Mb RAM). I have run the DOS demo
- of a much older version with no problems. I am currently running
- the registered version for Linux (pre-emptive multi-tasking of
- Macintosh programs - not even Apple can do that yet!!!), and have
- had no problems with either version.
-
- Is Univesa the VESA driver so that you get fancy high resolutions?
- I suggest there is a clash somewhere in your configuration files.
- Try running executor in a really bare configuration (say, HIMEM.SYS,
- MOUSE.COM and Univesa loaded and absolutely nothing else).
-
- I'd also suggest turning off some of the fancy new code, such as the
- nativecode option. Since the splash screen is causing the crash,
- you could also try the nosplash option.
