  10. CodeWarrior requires System 7, so it doesn't go at all right now.
  11. Think C compiles fine, but dies when you try to link.  We're not sure
  12. what's causing the death and will look into it a little more before we
  13. ship 2.0, but it is very low priority.  In general, the development
  14. tools are lower priority than business, home productivity and graphics
  15. programs, due to their relatively small appeal to our potential
  16. customer base.

  18. Remember, once 2.0 ships, we'll be able to hire a lot more engineers
  19. and then we'll be able to find and fix problems in "esoteric"
  20. applications as well as the mainstream ones.  So it's in everyone's
  21. best interest if we get 2.0 out soon, even if there are certain areas
  22. that 2.0 itself will not be able to handle.

  27. Should be minutes, if we get it to go.  In fact, if we had the time to
  28. really put some effort into it, we would be able to get compiles on a
  29. 90 MHz Pentium to be significantly *faster* than compiles on a Quadra
  30. 610.  Again, we won't be able to do a lot of work in this area until
  31. after 2.0 ships.
