-
- CodeWarrior requires System 7, so it doesn't go at all right now.
- Think C compiles fine, but dies when you try to link. We're not sure
- what's causing the death and will look into it a little more before we
- ship 2.0, but it is very low priority. In general, the development
- tools are lower priority than business, home productivity and graphics
- programs, due to their relatively small appeal to our potential
- customer base.
-
- Remember, once 2.0 ships, we'll be able to hire a lot more engineers
- and then we'll be able to find and fix problems in "esoteric"
- applications as well as the mainstream ones. So it's in everyone's
- best interest if we get 2.0 out soon, even if there are certain areas
- that 2.0 itself will not be able to handle.

-
- Should be minutes, if we get it to go. In fact, if we had the time to
- really put some effort into it, we would be able to get compiles on a
- 90 MHz Pentium to be significantly *faster* than compiles on a Quadra
- 610. Again, we won't be able to do a lot of work in this area until
- after 2.0 ships.
