  1. We're definitely bypassing 1.99l for Linux.  There are just too many
  2. serious bugs out there (mostly in the browser) for us to release E/L
  3. 1.99l.  I STRONGLY suggest DOS users either run with "-nobrowser", or
  4. use the Browser only to launch applications, and then use HFS_XFer
  5. from within some application other than the Browser to do your file
  6. manipulation.

  8. Right now we are working hard on fixing these 34 bugs (you can see
  9. them in detail by sending e-mail to "query-pr@ardi.com" with a subject
  10. line containing just the numbers you want to see, preceded by "--full"
  11. if you want more than just a summary of the bug):

  48. Much thanks to Ernst and Emilio for giving nice reproducible reports
  49. that shall allow us to get these bugs fixed quickly.  We will release
  50. 1.99m after we get a significant number of these bugs fixed and get to
  51. a point where a small amount of extra work no longer results in a
  52. fixed bug.  We'll also do some retesting and make sure we haven't
  53. broken anything else.

  55. Exactly when we'll be done, we don't know, but we'll be working night
  56. and day on this, since some of the 1.99l browser bugs are much worse
  57. than we realized.
