- Well, I *wasn't* going to say anything-- but personally I'll take Emacs
- and LaTeX over any version of MS-Word any day! And I *have* used Word,
- both on a Mac and under Windows, to prepare a ~500 page technical
- manual. Thankfully I haven't had to do anything quite so extensive
- since, but if I ever do I certainly won't repeat the mistake of allowing
- myself to be coerced into using Word.

- I will grant you, however, that if your word-processing needs rarely
- extend beyond a few pages for a letter, Word is a an easier tool to master.
