-
- I wholeheartedly agree.
-
- We are very interested in uploading more recent versions of our
- software to all of the big on-line service providers (AOL, Compuserve,
- Prodigy, etc.) I've personally handled several phone calls where I've
- talked to people who have grabbed Executor 1.2 or Executor 1.99b from
- somewhere and been disappointed by missing features that we've already
- added. Some also complained about bugs which were fixed in later
- versions. In some ways, an obsolete demo is worse than no demo at
- all.
-
- Once 1.99l is out, we'll let people try it out for a few days to make
- sure it's stable. It appears that it will be substantially more
- stable than 1.99k on certain system configurations, but we've been
- wrong before. Then we'll coordinate with volunteers to get the latest
- version uploaded to Compuserve, AOL, etc. We plan to hire someone to
- perform this task, but until that happens it would be nice to have
- volunteers help us upload up-to-date demos to the appropriate places.

-
- Executor isn't shareware; you have to pay to remove the demo version's
- timeout restrictions. Would CompuServe's registration forum be
- appropriate for purchasing license keys from the vendor?
