  6. I again tried getting E/D 1.99j to work in 256-color mode to no avail.
  7. Were 1.99f worked, E/D refuses to display most images. They either show as
  8. black and white or shades of grey. Speedometer reports 32-bits QuickDraw
  9. with 8-bits per pixel but apps do not work properly. Most apps just show a
  10. black block were colors should have been.

  12. I use : executor -bpp -applzone 4096

  14. also tried higher applzones and bpp 8
  15. also tried other VESA drivers like UNIVBE50 instead of my WD driver
  16. also tried running E/D under Windows

  18. alas no show; no 256-colors.

  20. My hardware is fine; E/D 1.99f still shows 256-colors.

  22. Perhaps this one of 'bugs found at the last moment"?
