  1. Hello everyone,

  3. I have the following problem: I have downloaded a large (12.5 Meg) binhexed
  4. Macintosh file. I wanted to port this to my Macintosh at home, but because
  5. it's so large, I have to segment it. I wanted to use Executor to do this. So
  6. my idea was to have Compact Pro to segment it. But Compact Pro uses a
  7. temporary file, which has to be on a Macintosh volume. Problem: I don't have
  8. a Macintosh volume under Executor which is large enough to carry the file
  9. (the largest one is about 3 Meg, I believe). So I tried to make a volume
  10. with MKVOL.EXE. I am able to create such a volume, but Executor doesn't
  11. recognize it.

  13. My question is: how come? How can I make Executor to recognize this volume?
  14. I can understand if MKVOL.EXE doesn't work with the demo (I'm using
  15. Executor/DOS 1.99b), but if so, it doesn't make sense to include MKVOL.EXE
  16. with the demo. Any ideas?

  18. A related question would be: is there any other way to workaround this
  19. problem, I mean to port this file to my Mac (I have to do this by floppy disk)?
