  3. I'm finally caught up on e-mail, so if you have sent e-mail to me in
  4. the last few months and you never received an answer, you'll have to
  5. resend (or send it to "questions@ardi.com" if that's more
  6. appropriate).

  8. Scott Brown has volunteered to coordinate a list of what runs and what
  9. doesn't under Executor.  Eventually we'll provide tools that will make
  10. submitting info a bit easier, but right now if you want to
  11. participate, you'll have to do it by hand.
  12.  
  13. To send information about applications, whether they run or not,
  14. please follow these directions to the letter.
  15.  
  16.     Send e-mail to "applist@ardi.com" (we have an alias that
  17.     automatically logs submissions and then forwards them to Scott)
  18.  
  19.     Use a subject of "applist submission"
  20.  
  21.     In the body of your text, use the following fields (NOTE: they
  22.     must start on the first column, they must be spelled the way
  23.     they are here and the information you provide must begin on
  24.     the same line as the colon, although they can continue onto a
  25.     separate line if you put either a space or tab at the beginning
  26.     of the continuation lines).  "Execution Color" is explained below.

  39.     The execution colors are:
  40.  
  41.             Green -- thoroughly tested; no bugs that would prevent
  42.              the vast majority of users from using this
  43.              application.
  44.  
  45.             Yellow -- less well tested or known bugs that prevent some
  46.                         functionality from being usable.  At a minimum,
  47.               the application must be able to read and display
  48.               its own document types.
  49.  
  50.             Orange -- Will take mouse and keyboard events, but has
  51.               enough major bugs to make the application unusable.
  52.  
  53.             Red -- Will not come up, but is still considered a target
  54.                for a better class by the time 2.0 ships.
  55.  
  56.             Black -- Will not come up no, nor is it expected to when
  57.              2.0 ships (with possible System 7 spoofing
  58.              exceptions).
  59.     
  60.     If you don't want people sending you e-mail, asking for more
  61.     information, put "anonymous" in the "Submitter:" field.

  63.     You can put several submissions in a single piece of e-mail.
  64.     Please make sure that each submission contains all of the
  65.     fields mentioned above.

  78. Notes:    I couldn't get the "PIT" file to decode under Executor, so I had to
  79.     use a real Mac to expand the software.  I then used an external hard
  80.     disk to move it over.  The application seems to work fine, but it's
  81.     so large that I can't really guarantee that there are no bugs.

  83. Scott will be responsible for keeping all this information in a
  84. database.  Periodically, he'll send us a flat-file copy, which we'll
  85. make available on ftp.cs.unm.edu until we get ftp.ardi.com up.

  88. our FAQ, assuming that everything works as planned.

  94.     mailing list that were "cc"s of e-mail that didn't have a lot
  95.     of significance for this list in general.  That's due to me
  96.     switching e-mail systems and not remembering to strip "cc:
  97.     executor@nacm.com" when I reply to something that was sent to
  98.     this list and the reply isn't of general interest.
