  3. There is a possibility that when you run Executor or HFS_XFer under  
  4. NeXTSTEP 3.0 Gold (i.e. not PR1 or PR2) you lose NeXTSTEP's ability  
  5. to see Macintosh formatted disks.  I am checking into this problem  
  6. now, but if you find that it happens to you, you can execute this  
  7. command as root to fix the problem:

  9. iclone# mv /usr/filesystems/mac.fs.SAVE /usr/filesystems/mac.fs
  10.  
  11. If after quitting HFS_XFer, the disk isn't ejected, you'll also need  
  12. to use this command if you have an internal floppy:
  13.  
  14. iclone# disk -e /dev/rfd0b
  15.  
  16. or this command if you have a SCSI floppy (change the 1 to whatever  
  17. SCSI number NeXTSTEP assigns your SCSI drive):

  19. iclone# disk -e /dev/rsd1h
  20.  
  21. Because we don't have a copy of NS3.0, it is hard for us to verify  
  22. that the problem exists.  I don't think it occurred under NeXTSTEP  
  23. 3.0 PR1 or NeXTSTEP 3.0 PR2.  However, we'll get access to a NS3.0  
  24. system ASAP.

  26. I talked with our printer and she expects us to have our manuals back  
  27. this coming Monday or Tuesday.  I will make sure that Executor 1.2.1  
  28. plays nicely with NeXTSTEP 3.0 before we start shipping it.  Most  
  29. likely we will have fixed the bug and be able to ship as soon as the  
  30. manuals are in.
