- The good news is that over two years ago we were connecting to
- CompuServe using Executor/NEXTSTEP. The bad news is that we put
- serial port support on hold until after E2 ships. The good news is
- that E2 will be shipping soon, so we can implement serial support.
- The bad news is that we're going to restructure Executor's code before
- we add features like this.

- All told it will probably be a few months before we even have bleeding
- edge versions with serial port support. Hopefully then we'll be
- adding new features at a rate even faster than we did with 1.99<x>.

- Yes, we have some plans for alternatives.

- BTW, networking falls in much the same category as serial port
- support, although it's not something that we even played with under
- E/NS and it's a bit harder, but in general it's high priority and we
- think we can shoehorn it in after the code restructuring.
