  21. My take on the arrangement of the bits --- first Xerox PARC and 
  22. then Scully whining about look & feel ---  was that it showed a 
  23. delightful sense of dry irony.  To have a narrator pointing out 
  24. what the arrangement made obvious would have sweetened things into 
  25. sugary cloyity.

  27. Would it have spoiled some vast celestial plan to have had a Pammy 
  28. walk-by?  Or did I miss it?
