- 'Triumph of the NERDs' was the title of a recent Cringely show which
- aired in the UK on Channel 4 last month. There was an IRC followup
- to the show on Undernet with Robert taking questions live.
-
- I remember seeing the caption for Mat Hostetter during the show and
- thinking: "Mat Hostetter. Now where do I know that name from?"
- Then I remembered ARDI and it all fell into place... (It's only
- recently I've come back to reading the emulator newsgroups, ironically
- beause of the Amiga emulator interest - I remember your conversations
- Cliff of around a year ago when the can it/can't it be done debate
- was well underway). Sorry, I digress.
-
- Considering the title of the show, it was a surprisingly interesting
- and detailed account of pioneering hi-tech companies. I think you
- were favourably compared as the 'new Apple' company, sort of in the
- image of a Wozniac garage startup company made good - at least that's
- the impression I remember getting.
