  38. 'Triumph of the NERDs' was the title of a recent Cringely show which
  39. aired in the UK on Channel 4 last month.  There was an IRC followup
  40. to the show on Undernet with Robert taking questions live.

  42. I remember seeing the caption for Mat Hostetter during the show and
  43. thinking: "Mat Hostetter. Now where do I know that name from?"  
  44. Then I remembered ARDI and it all fell into place... (It's only
  45. recently I've come back to reading the emulator newsgroups, ironically
  46. beause of the Amiga emulator interest - I remember your conversations
  47. Cliff of around a year ago when the can it/can't it be done debate
  48. was well underway). Sorry, I digress.

  50. Considering the title of the show, it was a surprisingly interesting
  51. and detailed account of pioneering hi-tech companies.  I think you
  52. were favourably compared as the 'new Apple' company, sort of in the
  53. image of a Wozniac garage startup company made good - at least that's
  54. the impression I remember getting.
