- This is both for Executor users and ARDI.
- If you have Windows 95(Mac84) and can't wait for the Windows 95 version of Executor, these programs might
- help.:
- "ShoveIt" Fixes the bug in Windows 95 that causes the tops of windows to be covered up when you have the
- Taskbar at the top of the screen like a Mac.
- ftp://members.aol.com/phord/shoveit3.zip
- "QuickTime for Windows 95"(32-bit)
- "StuffIt Expander for Windows"(16-bit)
- ftp://ftp.scruz.net/users/aladdin/public/SITEX10.EXE
-
- These programs would useful for ARDI and people waiting for the Windows 95 version of Executor.:
- "WinMac96" A program that puts an almost finished Macintosh Menu Bar on your Windows 95 desktop. It also has
- Windows 95 equivalents of certain Macintosh commands. It even brings up and actual Macintosh dialog box when
- you click on About this Macintosh!
- "WinImage" A program that allow you to read and create disk images. I included it because it not only allows
- you to read an create standard size PC disk images, it also allow you to read and create disk images in other
- sizes also. One is 820kb! (do you think this would allow you to read 800kb Mac disks, ARDI?)
- ftp://ftp.cdrom.com/.1/simtelnet/win95/util/wima9522.zip
-
- The following would probably only be useful for ARDI.:
- "Mac Desktop Theme" YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO START WINDOWS IF YOU USE THIS THEME ON A VIDEO CARD WITH A TRIDENT
- 9440 VIDEO CARD SET TO 800x600. I don't know about other video cards or resolutions. Use a your own risk. (I
- had to reinstall Windows 95.)
- "FirstClass Client for Windows" I included this because it has some of the icons that come with MacOS. (If you
- want to view them, go to Explorer, go the Options Menu, click on the File Types tab, click on Edit, click on
- Change Icon, and type in the path of the file. (After you run the Installer.))
- ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/utilities/FirstClass/Win/FCC310.EXE
-
- P.S. The following Mac program might be useful if you have some PKZIP files that
- you want to decompress in Executor.: http://www.asizip.com/download/pkzipmac203.hqx
- P.S.S Why were there only two messages in the last digest, ARDI?
- P.S.S.S. I tried the following two pinball programs by Starplay under Executor/DOS 2.0b1.: Crystal Caliburn
- Pinball and Loony Labyrinth Pinball. Both of them worked perfectly (with sound even!). However, Executor
- crashed with one of those dreaded General Protection Fault errors when I clicked on Insert Coin, and Loony
- Labyrinth seemed to be working alright also, and Executor even stayed up when I clicked on Insert Coin, but it
- also crashed after I tried to play the game.
