  24. I don't know about the linux version of tar, but I encounted the error 
  25. "path name too long" on the NeXTSTEP version of tar; but then I used the 
  26. gnutar instead and everyting was fine...

  28. However, I have never encountered any problems like that in Linux. BTW, 
  29. why do you have links for the Mac Program? Just Curious... are these 
  30. links symbolic links or hard links? of course I don't recommend using any 
  31. links at all, but if required, to use symbolic links instead of hard links.
