  44. I don't have any answers, but I have a couple of potential "clues" to
  45. solving this puzzle.  Corel had an MSCDEX clone as did Novell.  I don't
  46. know if there is anything in the public domain, but it is worth
  47. mentioning.  Many CDROMs include MSCDEX in their software bundles so
  48. for some people this would be a solution.  There are also a variety of
  49. utility which are designed into spoofing systems into thinking that a
  50. harddisk is a CDROM by faking many of the MSCDEX routines.  I don't
  51. know how much this would help, but I would pass it on for what it is
  52. worth.  Lastly, has anyone done a thorough search of a Window's '95
  53. disk to make sure that MSCDEX isn't on it someplace?
