  21. I don't know about the linux version of tar, but I encounted the error 
  22. "path name too long" on the NeXTSTEP version of tar; but then I used the 
  23. gnutar instead and everyting was fine...

  25. However, I have never encountered any problems like that in Linux. BTW, 
  26. why do you have links for the Mac Program? Just Curious... are these 
  27. links symbolic links or hard links? of course I don't recommend using any 
  28. links at all, but if required, to use symbolic links instead of hard links.
