  46.     I have a Trident 9440Agi  /w 1 MB of ram.  Using Univbe 5.2, executor
  47. 1.99q12 and 2.0 beta 1, in Dos.

  49. I do not have the problem's that you are describing.  I do have other ones
  50. though.
  51.  
  52. First I only could get 640x400 max resolution.  I was able to fix this by
  53. using the -vga switch ( was very slow).  Another way to fix it was to
  54. check the box 8-bit in low resolution mode support in the configuration
  55. options window.
  56.  
  57. Both resolutions have a white border around executor's screen.  This can
  58. only be fixed when I totally disable Univbe 5.2 
  59.  
  60. Univbe actually slows down executor!! (sort of)
  61.  
  62. Without univbe I get 680 fps in globe on my P75
  63. With univbe I get 630 fps.
  64.  
  65. When I use speedometer 3.23 all of my results are the same except for
  66. Color QuickDraw.
  67.  
  68. Again without univbe I average 3.728
  69. And with univbe I average 2.798
  70.  
  71. The only good thing about Univbe is I do not need to set refresh on
  72. programs that don't use Quickdraw.  The end result is my programs run just
  73. as fast when I do something like refresh 3 as when I use Univbe.  Univbe
  74. makes programs run smoother.

  76. I have also noticed slowdown using univbe with virtual pool.  Flickering
  77. in duke3d 800x600. Only Quake test demo appears to have a 2 fps
  78. performance gain.

  80. I have tried changing the framebuffer address (default 4088MB), adding
  81. X=C000-CFFF to Emm386.exe, changing several display doctor options, and
  82. trying several executor -switches. Not to mention several combos of them
  83. all.
