  57.     I have a Trident 9440Agi  /w 1 MB of ram.  Using Univbe 5.2, executor
  58. 1.99q12 and 2.0 beta 1, in Dos.

  60. I do not have the problem's that you are describing.  I do have other ones
  61. though.

  63. First I only could get 640x400 max resolution.  I was able to fix this by
  64. using the -vga switch ( was very slow).  Another way to fix it was to
  65. check the box 8-bit in low resolution mode support in the configuration
  66. options window.

  68. Both resolutions have a white border around executor's screen.  This can
  69. only be fixed when I totally disable Univbe 5.2

  71. Univbe actually slows down executor!! (sort of)

  73. Without univbe I get 680 fps in globe on my P75
  74. With univbe I get 630 fps.

  76. When I use speedometer 3.23 all of my results are the same except for
  77. Color QuickDraw.

  79. Again without univbe I average 3.728
  80. And with univbe I average 2.798

  82. The only good thing about Univbe is I do not need to set refresh on
  83. programs that don't use Quickdraw.  The end result is my programs run just
  84. as fast when I do something like refresh 3 as when I use Univbe.  Univbe
  85. makes programs run smoother.

  87. I have also noticed slowdown using univbe with virtual pool.  Flickering
  88. in duke3d 800x600. Only Quake test demo appears to have a 2 fps
  89. performance gain.

  91. I have tried changing the framebuffer address (default 4088MB), adding
  92. X=C000-CFFF to Emm386.exe, changing several display doctor options, and
  93. trying several executor -switches. Not to mention several combos of them
  94. all.
