- FWIW,
- The following is from the Apple FAQ on MAE (Macintosh Applications
- Environment) Located at http://www.mae.apple.com.
-
- ###UPDATED###
- Q.
- What about MAE support for other hardware platforms?
-
- A.
- Apple is evaluating the option to port MAE to other platforms.
- We will base our decision on customer demand as well as
- strategic partnerships. Because we want a close development and
- marketing relationship with our system vendor partners, Apple
- plans to offer MAE in those situations where we have a
- strategic relationship with the OEM. We are currently
- evaluating a number of opportunities but do not have any
- announcements to make at this time.
-
- I personally take this to mean Intel architecture but I could be mistaken.
