- Hi!
-
- CTM>but unless you have a chance to run an app on a Mac and see that it
- CTM>gets the same error you should assume that the error is Executor's
- CTM>fault.
-
- Don't have any real Mac - that's why I paid for Executor ;-)
-
- CTM>I'm not sure what it means to be able to write new messages but not
- CTM>create its database but, again, I'd assume the problem is Executor's.
-
- Yes, seems so. Since I know the programmer of Mausefalle, I will try to work
- with him to get some more specific problem description. Up to now I can open a
- window and write a message, but since Mausefalle isn't able to create it's
- database, I can't store it. But no real error message or error code - the
- programmer is to good, he hides all those lowlevel things from the user. Too
- bad in this special case.
-
- CTM>Under Executor it causes too much trouble. We could support this but
- CTM>there would be too much possibility of introducing subtle bugs that
- CTM>affect other programs for us to do this right now as we're getting
- CTM>ready for E2.
-
- Hmm. Sounds definitly like a long-after-E2 feature. Too bad - I really like
- Gambit and it was one of my favorite applications to get running under
- Executor. Ok, I have look into something other, then.
-
- BTW: Yale Haskell doesn't run - with System 7 emulation switched on, it hangs
- forever when startet, with only System 6 it gives the following:
-
- "executor Fatal error. main.c 1093; in 'unhandled_trap' Fatal error: unahndled
- trap 4 at pc 0x5D892C7D (illegal instruction)"
-
- (you may notice that programming languages are my favorites ;-) )
-
- Ah, and thank you very much for the -keyboard switch. At least I have german
- Umlauts and Keyboard layout on my Mac. That makes Executor still more useable
- for me.
-
- bye, Georg
