  14. We will allow people to download demos of Executor 2, but it won't be =
  15. fully functional.  At Egghead the demos that they have are complete
  16. versions of the software, aren't they?  If we can get Egghead to sell
  17. Executor then our agreement would probably require us to provide them
  18. with a certain number of complete copies that they can demo in their
  19. (approximately 200?) stores.

  21. I can't speak offcially, but the way I understand that it works, you =
  22. don't provide any, and we just open one up off the shelf and install it. =
  23.  I MAY BE WRONG, after all, I am just a part time employee!

  25. Right.  Once Executor 2 is a done deal and the Executor 2 demo is
  26. finalized then we'll make a lot of effort to get it onto other
  27. people's CD-ROMs and really make it easy for people to get.

  29. Are you going to continue with the downloadable version?
  30. Sure.  We've known this for a long time, that's the whole point of =
  31. cleaning up Executor now and getting Executor 2 out the door.  We have
  32. always meant Executor to be a commercial product sold through stores,
  33. but previous incarnations of Executor had just too many limitations to
  34. make stores want to sell them.  It still may be a little tricky
  35. getting stores to sell Executor 2, but I think we have a good shot at
  36. it.

  38. >From what I've seen of Executor, for people looking for apps just to =
  39. run, w/o advanced Mac features, E/DOS is a wonderful product.

  41. You don't mention how much memory your 486 has.  If it only has 8 MB,
  42. then using an 8 MB Applzone will require a lot of paging (very slow).

  44. The 486 has 12 megs, and I should be able to try it on the Pentium with =
  45. 16.
