  18. The bad news is, the Mac OS, and the Hard Disk Formatters distributed with
  19. it won't do a SyQuest, you will need to get a third party formatter from
  20. SyQuest or elsewhere.  There are many around.  For ZIP and easySCSI users
  21. its simple, I assume that like Iomega, SyQuest will sell you a disk
  22. containing the appropriate drivers and utilities.

  34. Last year Apple began using EIDE drives in some of its low end machines.  I
  35. have an EIDE drive in my Quadra 630.  That means you will get a formatter
  36. for your EIDE drives with MAC OS 7.5.3.

  45. There is even better news here (if ARDI can get the MAC OS to "drop in").
  46. It now appears that Apple will port MAC OS 8.x to be functional on 68040
  47. Macintoshes (Its being written native in RISC code for the PPCP).  Not only
  48. will that resolve the but deal with the multitasking and memory problems.
