  15. I downloaded the Beta0 demo this morning... very nice splash screen, and the
  16. Browser was quite nice looking too.

  18. I noticed that it seemed to run a little slower than E/D 1.99q12, so I
  19. decided to run Speedometer on both... the rating for Beta0 was higher than
  20. that of q12, despite that fact that it seemed slower (14.something versus
  21. 11.something for CPU for instance.)  Also, at the same time, though, the
  22. hands on the stopwatch were going around about twice as fast as I'd ever
  23. seen them before.

  25. I remember someone (I think it was Mat) wondering if, when everything sped
  26. up in Executor/DOS 1.99q11, it might have just been Speedometer giving higher
  27. ratings (a bug in the timer.)  I wanted to point this out in case this has
  28. happened with Beta0, since the ratings say it's faster, but it seems slower,
  29. than the previous BleedingEdge release.

  31. On another note, I read the About Executor shpeel and noticed all the 
  32. functionality that will be cut out of the demo version, as well as the 10
  33. minute time limit.  I think this is a good idea... anyone with above average
  34. computing skills can kill a timer, but it's not quite so easy to put in
  35. missing code.
