  15. Here is what may be a stupid question about memory use under
  16. Executor.  I'm probably just missing something simple but 
  17. maybe someone can help me understand what is happening.

  19. I run executor under DOS 6.2 on a machine with "8 megs" of 
  20. ram.  For testing, I turn off any disk cashing by SMARTDRV.
  21. The DOS mem command says:
  22.         Total    Used    Free
  23. Conventional    640    46    594

  29. I do an executor -info command and executor reports:

  31.     5.43 Meg of Potentially useful DPMI Memory
  32.     and assigns the memory as follows:
  33.     applzone    2.71 Meg
  34.     syszone        0.5  Meg
  35.     Stack        0.25 Meg
  36. I presume this all comes out of the 5.43 total it found.

  38. What happened to all the rest of the memory?  Is Executor
  39. itself using it?  That's 1.7 Meg and 5.43 + 1.7 still only
  40. adds up to 7.13.  It would seem there should be a total
  41. memory of 7.36 M + 594 K unused and available.
