Not that I know why the original poster wanted to run MacDOOM on a PC, but how about the following: You have either a Linux or NextStep system, and you can't (or don't want to) run Windows or DOS. This could either be because you don't have a partition for DOS, you don't want to reboot every time you want to play DOOM, or your machine doesn't support it (i.e. the NextStep black boxes). Or perhaps it's because you want to run DOOM in 640x480 mode which (as I recall) the Mac version supported and the DOS version didn't. Perhaps that's different now... Don't forget, not everyone uses Windows/DOS, although Microsoft would probably love it if this information didn't get out :> -- Rob
