  13. I'm considering purchasing a notebook computer.  This is the CTX EZ350D, 
  14. based on an Intel 486DX4/100 chip.  Since I run some Mac programs, I 
  15. would definitely be running Executor on it.  More than likely, I'll be 
  16. running Executor/DOS (either under Windows 95 or under straight MS-DOS), 
  17. although I would be interested in hearing whether E/Linux will run under 
  18. it (since I MAY be running either Linux or FreeBSD on it, whenever I get 
  19. more hard drive space).

  21. I'm primarily concerned with the built-in video.  It supposedly contains 
  22. a VESA video accelerator with 1 MB VRAM.  I don't know if it's VESA 1.x 
  23. or 2.0 compliant; if it's 2.0, I'd be definitely interested to find out 
  24. whether the linear framebuffer will work; if it isn't 2.0, I would want 
  25. to run UniVBE on it.  I'd also be interested in whether or not it can do 
  26. higher resolutions; although I'd rather run at 640x480, I might want to 
  27. go to 800x600 sometime.

  29. I'm also interested in the sound, since (at least, according to the 
  30. spec's I have) it has a 16-bit soundcard built in.  Unfortunately, I 
  31. don't have any information whether it's Sound Blaster compatible or not.  
  32. Will it run with Executor's sound code?

  34. And, lastly, this unit has one of those newfangled touch-pads instead of 
  35. a traditional trackball, mouse, or "pencil eraser" (that's what I call 
  36. them; I mean those IBM ThinkPad-style devices.)  Do I assume correctly 
  37. that, generally speaking, if it has a DOS-mode mouse driver with it, and 
  38. if this driver were loaded, Executor would use it properly?
