Wow - with 1.99q10 E/D, QuarkXpress 3.31 finally loads.
The last time I tried (1.99q), it just crashed at startup, but
now, I tried drawing some simple lines, and entering textboxes.
The text has a small bug - the insertion point gets out of
sync with the caret, and lines tend to get chopped off at
the end. (I think related probs have been discussed before)
It did crash when I tried Save As, but I'm still amazed that
it loaded at all!!
(Unfortunately, Quark is not shareware, so I suppose it won't
get as much testing, but it is a _major_ app.....)
BTW, what changed that allowed Quark to run? I thought that
