- i experienced a similarar problem under q8. i had been having problems
- with lemmings making a funny flash of the previous screen. someone told
- me to try and change my video mode to animation (animated? something like
- that hit alt-shift-5 and you'll see what i am talking about). anyway, i
- did that, and that is when my problem occurred. it is similar, but not
- quite the same. my screen was drawn correctly, but wherever i moved the
- mouse, everything but the background would be erased. i don't know if
- these are caused by similar problems or not, but i thought i would throw
- it out there. maybe you want to try animation?
