-
- Yes, apparently NT uses a completely different API than Win95 to get
- at long filenames. I've even heard that DOS apps using WinNT long
- filenames just isn't supported. I know being stuck with 8.3 is a real
- bummer, but it's looking like we won't be able to support WinNT long
- filenames until we have a native Win32 Executor.

-
- This is a good question. Sound doesn't work on our WinNT setup
- either. It wouldn't surprise me to hear that WinNT denies DOS
- software direct access to the sound hardware for security reasons.
- Again, this is something that will be fixed when we have a true Win32
- Executor and we use the Microsoft sound API.
-
- Has anyone played true DOS games (or whatever) under WinNT that have
- working sound support? Forgive my ignorance, but I don't know all
- that much about WinNT's DOS support.
