  36. Forgive me if I have made a false assumption, but it sounds like you gave 
  37. EXECUTOR more memory than you had available to give.  Your symptoms indicate 
  38. that you were running illustrator in virtual memory.  Virtual memory uses 
  39. the hard drive as RAM.  That could be why the hard drive never quit 
  40. transferring data and would also explain the slow operational speed.  Try 
  41. EXECUTOR -INFO and set the -memory at or below what the return indicates 
  42. that you have.  This, of course, might be less than required to run the 
  43. program you wish to run.  You can generally clear some memory by not 
  44. dedicating so much memory in other programs, like smartdrive.
