  19. I think Ardi should consider OS/2 porting more seriously.

  21. It comes out of two reasons.
  22.  
  23. 1. OS/2 users are the ones who are willing to pay
  24.    money at their software but are hungry at qualified
  25.    softwares.  These days, os/2 users can use windows
  26.    3.x software seamlessly but no more win32 programs.
  27.    (though newer win32s 1.25 beta works some..)

  29.    It's time for os/2 users to taste Mac software now,
  30.    instead of win32 programs.  Although, Executor 1.99q7
  31.    works under my Warp (Compaq Presario CDS 972) now, 
  32.    I'm sure the performance will be much better if compiled
  33.    for os/2 native code excaping VDM overhead
  34.  
  35. 2. IBM is the largest hardware/software company in this
  36.    world. (not microsoft)  And since os/2 lacks end user
  37.    software, they do all their best to support developers.
  38.    For Examples, they pay US rebates to for every OS/2 
  39.    one applications saled that bundles os/2 package.
  40.    (For example, borland C/C++ for OS/2 bundles os/2 itself
  41.    and gets rebate from IBM)  I don't know about US rebates,
  42.    but in my country, it's about US $25.

  44.    Also, there are lots of money IBM spends on supporting
  45.    OS/2 developers.  I sincerely advice you people at
  46.    ardi to contact IBM and get their money, before they
  47.    get real MAE for OS/2 directly from Apple!  I'm sure
  48.    that IBM will pay for you if you develop Executor for
  49.    real OS/2, not for it's DOS box.
