- I have found a bug in Executor (DOS and Linux versions, all revisions). It
- involves the game Spaceward Ho!, from Delta Tao Software.
-
- The bug is NOT in the game itself, as I ran this game on a real Mac
- and the bug was not there.
-
- The bug is : When you design ships (using the Build/Design Ships menu),
- you can sometimes "cheat" and build ships more powerful than your current
- technological ability. i.e. you can have a ship with weapons = 12 even
- if you only have weapons technology = 10. You can do this by pulling the
- "thumb" (The box that moves when you click on the arrows in a scroll bar)
- past the right arrow. When you do this, the thumb DOES NOT stop at the
- right boundary, but can go past it. Ergo, you can get higher values than
- the scroll bar normally permits.
-
- Again, I have seen this in AT LEAST the DOS and Linux versions (probably
- NeXTstep, too) in all revisions up to and including 1.99q6.
-
- A legitimate "demo" version of Ho! can be found at the Delta Tao home page:
