- Many programs that require System 7 now run under Executor, although
- the other limitations mentioned above are still there. We who make
- Executor do not try to mislead potential customers. We list
- limitations, we have a demo version so people can test the software
- for themselves and we have a 30-day money back guarantee just in case
- any mistakes are made.

-
- SoftWindows will not help John O-Rourke. SoftWindows runs absolutely
- no Macintosh software (except when SoftWindows is running Executor).
-
- Executor is useful to some people, and it's less useful or even
- useless to others.
-
- Technically Executor is a significantly more complicated undertaking
- than SoftWindows, because we do not use any of Apple's software in
- order to get Mac programs to run. In fact, we haven't even
- disassembled any of Apple's ROMs or System file in order to achieve
- what we've done so far.
-
- Insignia licenses Microsoft's OS's (DOS, Windows) and that is why they
- have a higher degree of compatibility. Even with that, for a long
- time SoftWindows did not run programs that required 386 enhanced mode
- -- back then it was useful to some people but not others, presumably
- that's still the case, although with 386 enhanced emulation,
- SoftWindows is now useful to more people.
-
- Executor is also significantly faster than SoftWindows; Executor is so
- fast that if you're replacing a 68k based Mac with a Pentium, your
- compute bound applications are likely to run faster (if they run) on
- the Pentium running Executor than they would on the 68k based Mac.

- I happen to use Executor a lot, and have found almost all
- programs I use run very nicely on it (though Appletalk would be nice).
- I would say it's far more than a joke, it's a very good, and getting
- better, program.

- emulates something different, it doesn't matter too much since you
