- As promised, here is what happens on my machine with I run 199q4.
-
- I have set files to all sorts of numbers up to FILES=120
-
- When I run EXECUTOR, I get the following Error Message:
-
- "Fatal error: FILES= parameter n CONFIG.SYS is too small. We recommend
- FILES=30 (or more). To fix this, edit your CONFIG.SYS file (usually
- C:\CONFIG.SYS), and find the line that says something like:
-
- FILES=20
-
- (it may not be exactly 20) and change the number to 30 or more. If the
- FILES= value is already greater than 30 and you still get this message,
- you may need to make it evel larger. You can use the "-nofilescheck"
- command line switch to skip this check and proceed at your own risk".
-
- This last is the only way I can get EXECUTOR to run!
-
- My hardware is:
- Cyrix 5x86/120
- 16 Meg
- Various High Memory Managers (QEMM 7.5, QEMM 8.0, and HIMEM.SYS)
- DOS 6.22.
