We have a copy of MacDraw II and we will try to get its printing to
work right.  I don't think it's particularly likely that Claris would
have released MacDraw II without thoroughly testing its ability to
print.  Of course they would have done all their testing on real Macs,
so if MacDraw II uses undocumented features that were indeed present
on all Macs, that may be an explanation for why it might not work
under Executor.


Although I appreciate the desire to make life easier on ARDI by
suggesting that Calvin find a newer version of Mac Draw to work with,
it usually isn't that easy, since frequently people use Executor
because they've already moved off the Mac platform and they are just
trying to use the software they already have.

To the best of my knowledge, they all require serial port access,
which is a feature that we had to cut from the Executor 2 feature set
in order to get Executor 2 out the door (something we're working very
hard on right now).

Marathon is currently unusable in Executor due to two bugs.

One bug affects movement and radar display and causes you to move
incorrectly.  The other is that when you use high resolution, the
color table is incorrectly updated.

Video frame rates are a measurement of video emulation speed, not overall
emulation speed, and I suspect that Executor suffers in the video area on
most boxes.  But Executor's processor emulation is somewhat better.

I'd be very interested in seeing some comparative numbers from Executor
users as well as other folks who possess *real* Mac hardware.

For comparison, I get these numbers from Speedometer 3.23 here under an
OS/2 VDM with Executor/DOS v1.99Q on my 20MB 486DX4/100:

A very good idea.  A web page already exists for this (it's a link off
the main ARDI page at http://www.ardi.com), and I submitted a couple
of things there, but there's really no place to put "settings" info
except in the description.

I'm going to be coming up with a list starting tonight of the things
I've played with here.  Might be useful or not.  And I'll probably be
submitting the info to that web site for starters...

Actually, I read someplace (after I posted this) that a P90 with 16 MB
of RAM was comparable to a 45Mhz. Quadra 610. I'm quite sure that's
what they said. How fast is that for a Mac, as I have no idea?
