  1. I know this is a little silly and completly pointless but can SoftWindows for Mac, which emulates 
  2. a 486 in its latest version I believe, run Executor/DS. I'm quite fascinated by the idea of 
  3. having an emulator inside an emulator. 
  4.  
  5. Indeed you could have, when Executor is fully functional, sometime in the future, SoftWindows 
  6. running on Executor, and another Executor running inside that SoftWindows and another SoftWindows 
  7. inside the Executor inside that SoftWindows and so on, until your system grinds to a halt.

  9. The closest I've come to this is running Executor/DS on the PC side of my DOS compatible 6100/66 
  10. PowerMac, which has a 486DX2-66 add in card.

  47. Pardon me for cutting in, and don't get me wrong, it is nothing short of a
  48. miracle that they can make a Mac emulator at all, but I think you seriously
  49. overstate it's speed and capabilities. With 8 megs of Ram on a 486 DX4 100,
  50. it will run Wolfenstein 3-D (in 320x200) like a 286. Don't know what the
  51. equivalant is for a Mac (A Power PC probably <g>), but it really is pathetic.

  54. really. It's a neat toy, a very neat toy, but it's not quite really a full
  55. blown product right now.

  57. Again, don't get me wrong, C64S, (an emulator for the Commodore 64, which
  58. runs at a whole 1 Mhz and is ten years old) still doesn't run at full speed
  59. and it's compatible files percentage is still under 80%. What Ardi has done
  60. is impressive, but don't overstate it.
