I hope you kept the previous version that did run EndNote properly.
If so, you can switch back to that while we find out what broke.

If this is something that used to work but no longer does, then it is
a regression.  Regresssions are indeed showstoppers, since they
directly affect our current customers *and* they may be the tip of an
iceberg, since if one thing broke, perhaps the same incompatibility is
causing all sorts of trouble elsewhere.

After Executor 2 ships we'll scale back the frequency of releases a
little and also try to get a full time testing person in place.  Doing
both of these will help avoid regressions.

When we get back we can tell you how to use gdb to send us a backtrace
so we can figure out where things are dying.  Since a different
version of Endnote is working we are likely to be able to get this
fixed.

If you find that it's a regression then it will be top priority.  Even
if it's not a regression we'll still take a look at it since some
versions already work.

Both of these are very important since they appear to be penetrating
bugs (i.e. bugs that will affect multiple programs), since all
programs use the filesystem.

I'm logging these as "critical/high" and will probably ask for more
information when I get back from MACWORLD Expo.

Thanks.  If we hadn't taken a brief detour to add sound and go to
MACWORLD Expo I think we'd be in beta by now, but luckily, we get
enough bug reports that when we finally do go beta we should have a
very good idea of what critical/high problems remain.  So thanks both
for the compliment and for the bug reports.
