Hi Cliff,
Hi there Cliff,

:(
If you have installed 1.99p6 and then 1.99p9 on top of it

I'm currently running 1.99p9 on Warp Connect, and everything appears to be
fine, including transparency between linux/Warp/DOS/Executor, CD-ROM
accessibility etc., as per my last note to you. There does not appear to be any
performance hit associated with p9, and from subjective observation p9 is
running at least as well as p6 (I didn't really give p8 much of a go due to
time limits :), if not better, especially reading the floppy drives.
NisusWriter still won't install (let alone run!), but that's not a Warp
problem. (Am I hanging out for the day when it *does* work!!!).
The speakers go 'click' when E/D starts up on OS/2, which is thoroughly
encouraging, and interesting considering that the OS/2-DOS SoundBlaster16
installation hasn't been properly configured yet!
The cd-rom drive is a bit slow to read, but the Linux partitions read via the
OS/2 ext2fs driver are lightning fast in appearing - roll on the OS/2 version
of Executor so that I can read long file names via Executor! I can see long
file names on the Linux partiton via OS/2, but not via Executor.
Speedometer also runs fully without breaking now, but I still can't switch
between E/D and the Desktop without E/D snapping. Curiously, I can actually do
this on another machine running E/D (in Demo mode) on Warp Connect with a
Trident 8900D or similar card and out-of-the-box SVGA dirvers (this machine's
got a #9 GXE64 Pro 2Mb with highly suspect drivers from #9).
