For users of Linix, it opens up a whole range of software that might not otherwise be available without booting into Windows, such as productivity applications from Microsoft. WINE, the Linix Windows emulator, is not yet up to the task, and Linix doesn't yet have the installed base to attract a lot of the large mainstream developers. The same can be said for NeXTStep. But you do have a good point that for DOS/Windows/Win95 users, most things you might want to use are available natively, so for those users, Executor might be more useful for a few niche application areas, such as games or graphics/DTP, where the Mac still has a foothold. -- Scott Atwood atwood@cs.stanford.edu
