  11.     Yes, executor really is paranoid about writing to disk. It was
  12. running from my system partition under linux and was making my Hard-disk
  13. scream and scratch like it was dieing. It was _much_ heavier on the hard
  14. disk than _anything_ else I had previously run under Linux. I solved this
  15. by removing any sym links with which executor would work (my
  16. /usr/local/bin/executor and /usr/local/lib/executor were sym links to
  17. files on the installed software partition) and by defragmenting my linux
  18. system partition. Now things run _much_ quieter and I don't have this
  19. feeling anymore I am going to tear out my hard disks everytime I start
  20. executor or a mac app from within executor. This happened on a very
  21. high-end system (all SCSI PC with 3 SCSI chains, 5GB disk, 64MB RAm,
  22. EISA/PCI Dual pentium, high-end Graphics) so I guess it was not because the 
  23. computer could not handle it.

  25.     Has this kind of things (hard disk running very heavily and 
  26. noisly under executor) happened to someone else? I really like executor 
  27. but this was making me worried..
