  17. I hate to bug, but I do think that the Executor community would
  18. greatly benefit from a newsgroup dedicated to Executor, even people
  19. who couldn't directly use the newsgroup.

  21. There are two days left to vote and I know that many people will put
  22. off doing this because they think that someone else will do it, but I
  23. just saw the status of rec.games.quake.* call for votes and although
  24. the proposed groups passed, it was sufficiently close that I'm pretty
  25. worried about comp.emulators.mac.executor.
  26.  
  27. So please, take the time to read the "How to Vote" section of the Call
  28. For Votes (the complete CFV is still available in news.groups) and
  29. then vote yes.  BTW, the way Usenet group votes are *not* secret
  30. ballots, which means that when the results come out, we at I will be
  31. able to see how people on this list voted.  BUT I personally will
  32. avoid looking at who voted how, because even though I am asking people
  33. to vote for this newsgroup, I will not alter my opinion of anyone
  34. based on how she/he voted.  I'd prefer the process to be a secret
  35. vote, but I understand why the Usenet votes are done the way they are.

  37. Bottom line: I hope people vote for the group, but it's certainly your
  38. choice and not ours.

  43. p.s. I understand that some people had to send their votes a few times
  44. before they ever got an acknowledgement of the vote.  I'm not sure why
  45. that is, but it may be something to watch for.
