  26. Were you comparing MAE 1.x or 2.x?  I've run the 2.X series on both HP and
  27. Solaris 2.4;  Modulo installation difficulties (library problems on the Sun 
  28. and a kernel conflict with my multicast HPUX9.05), the speed seems pretty 
  29. reasonable to me;  *MUCH* better than the 1.x.
