Sender: owner-paper@nacm.com Precedence: bulk OK, here's the scenarios this time...I had two HFV files, one at 25 meg, and one at 38 meg....I made one 50 megger, and copied the contents of the other two onto the one large HFV...I deleted the other two, and today I have a problem...All of my program s(mostly games) were copied into one big folder, and today only the icons for the first half of them come up...those programs are fine...for the other ones, the generic application icon comes up, and when trying to run any of these programs it launche then returns to browser with no messages or errors... 1 - I had a virus about a year or so that truly messed up my FAT on my computer, and wrecked lots of files...the FAT is permanently screwed up until I get a backup and reformat the thing (it's about a gig, so it might be awhile) Things still run and all, it's just that when the system tries to write files to the messed up fat part, things get kinda screwy...another thing that happened was, after creating the 50 megger, I ran chkdsk and it said something about a sector being crosslinked and truncating the HFV...so that might be it to...either way, if I can help figure out what's happened, lemme know! later -ocean
