Sometimes programs get confused when they run out of memory (especially since it is possible that a program will run out of memory under Executor when they wouldn't on a similarly configured Mac) and then wind up giving bogus error messages. I'd try "-memory 12m" and see if that does it (don't worry about adjusting the System Zone). If it doesn't, perhaps someone on this list can comment publicly if she/he has run into similar problems and found a work around.
