  19. As ARDI did quite a lot of work on Executor in the last couple of weeks
  20. i thought i'd try out Fractal Design Painter 3.0 Demo again.
  21. The last time i tried it somehow didn't get it quite right.
  22. But after i got the 6.5MB hqx file today, unstuffed and installed it
  23. it just worked!!! I tried some of the effects, the nozzles etc.
  24. It was still not a runner (like on a Powermac), but it was nearly usable
  25. on my 486DX2/80...
  26. But i still have one problem: Neither with the svgalib version nor with
  27. the dos-version can i get more than 8bit color to work. Now i
  28. wonder, as my card (a ET4000W32 with 1MB) can use 24bit with univbe
  29. testprograms under dos and same und svgalib. I mean, even 16 bit would
  30. be major cool with painter! :)
  31. So if someone knows how to get more colors out of either the dos
  32. or the svgalib version with my card PLEASE tell me.
  33. I didn't find an answer to my question in the FAQ, so....
