  20. Does Executor support long filenames on VFAT drives under Win95? I would
  21. think that the filenames used by Mac files would map well to the Win95 =
  22. ones,
  23. and this would simplify things quite a bit for me.

  32. Heres the problem.  The VFAT file system is superior to the Macintosh =
  33. file system.  We, with Windows 95 have the 8.3 replaced with 250.5.  =
  34. Now, here is the problem, Macs have 32.4.4!  What if you have a longer =
  35. file name?  It will have to shrink.  Now, I agree that there should be =
  36. support for the VFAT system (And beleive a Win95 GUI version of Executor =
  37. 2.0 or 2.1 should be released).  Also, it should then also allow use of =
  38. the desktop.  Now, as most people know, the Windows 95 desktop is stored =
  39. in two places:
  40. Single User System:
  41. \Windows\Desktop
  42. MultiUser System:
  43. \Windows\Profiles\user\Desktop
  44. Now, Executor should ask which acount you wish to use, and load the =
  45. desktop.  Thatway, you can navigate it as if it were you're Windows 95 =
  46. system (And sort of like a mac)  For example, you could browse the File =
  47. Open and Save As dialog boxes as a Mac would running System 7!
  48. I think this would be a very usefull feature for copying and storing =
  49. files.
