I tried to run it under E/D 1.99p2 and the first screen came up, but then there was a screen problem (I tried refresh), but the menus worked so I could quit the application. Thanks, Ziv Arazi ------------------------------ From: ctm@ardi.com (Clifford T. Matthews) Date: Sun, 15 Oct 95 15:12 MDT Subject: [ANNOUNCEMENT] 1.99p3 is out + status report Hi, If you've already installed 1.99p, I hope you can pick up 1.99p3 and test it against any applications you'd like to see run under 2.0 (be reasonable, sound and QuickTime will definitely not be supported). Then, send us bug reports about the largest problems you see. We still have plenty of things to work on during the remaining 10 days of Hackathon II left, but we want to be sure we don't overlook anything. However, please remember that we may prioritize things differently, so even if you report a bug there's no guarantee that we'll be able to look into it. In ten days, after Cotton leaves, Mat will resume work on the NEXTSTEP/Motorola port. DOS: ftp://vorlon.mit.edu/pub/ardi/BleedingEdge/DOS/exec19p3.zip Linux: ftp://vorlon.mit.edu/pub/ardi/BleedingEdge/Linux/aout-199p3.tar.gz or ftp://vorlon.mit.edu/pub/ardi/BleedingEdge/Linux/elf-199p3.tar.gz NEXTSTEP (Intel only): ftp://vorlon.mit.edu/pub/ardi/BleedingEdge/NEXTSTEP/intel199p3.tar.gz In addition to the work that is reflected in 1.99p, I have also done some work on the Browser, but I have a few other mods I want to make to the System file before rolling a new release. We're hoping that 1.99q will be our last pre-beta release and that we'll go into beta by the end of the month. NOTE: I was not able to reproduce the slowdown that occurs when some people open DOS drives under E/D. Mat did make some modifications to our interrupt code, so there's a slight chance that the mods speed things up. I will send more e-mail about this particular problem later. - --Cliff ctm@ardi.com ------------------------------ From: Fred Salerno <salernof@gate.net> Date: Sun, 15 Oct 1995 20:59:33 -0400 (EDT) Subject: Re: [ANNOUNCEMENT] 1.99p3 is out + status report Is sound really that hard of a problem to conquer? ------------------------------ End of executor-digest V1 #300 ****************************** To subscribe to executor-digest, send the command: subscribe executor-digest in the body of a message to "Majordomo@NACM.COM". If you want to subscribe something other than the account the mail is coming from, such as a local redistribution list, then append that address to the "subscribe" command; for example, to subscribe "local-executor-digest": subscribe executor-digest local-executor-digest@your.domain.net A non-digest (direct mail) version of this list is also available; to subscribe to that instead, replace all instances of "executor-digest" in the commands above with "executor".
